[READ] Bugs and issues!
Hello, Expeditioners. What a LAUNCH day!

We have made this form,[sandfallinteractive.typeform.com] which you can use to report your issues. This will help us read, triage, and prioritise optimisations and fixes.

We are looking into Ultra Wide optimisation and support, and we are aware of the current bug on UW monitors that causes the incorrect resolution to display after a cutscene. This is being looked at as a priority, for remedying ASAP, alongside many other fixes and optimisations.

We are looking at as much as possible, reading your feedback, and prioritising our fixes! But, the centralised form at the top will be super useful to us. :)

Thank you ALL for your interest, excitement, and for playing the game.

We will continue to use this thread and update it on a rolling basis to reflect issues and fixes as we roll them out.

~ The Expedition 33 Team

Update 02.05: We have patched a bug in NG+ where players would be unable to progress their battle with the boss at the end of Stone Wave Cliffs.

We are still working on a variety of fixes and optimisations, but were able to quickly get this live on Steam before the weekend. Stay tuned for further updates next week on upcoming patches.

The game doesn't display correctly on my 5120x1440 monitor. Character perspectives look way too close, and the combat menus don’t scale properly — parts of the UI are cut off due to the resolution.

This fix might help you.

I really like the design direction, but the actual experience of parrying and dodging is honestly the weakest I’ve seen in any game I’ve played. Maybe adding a visual cue to indicate when the attack window is active would help a lot.

I hope it helps. I haven't used it myself as I just play on a 4k TV.

Having an issue with binding Dodge/Parry to Mouse Buttons - they seem to often not respond to key presses? When trying to Dodge/Parry a combo, I will defend against the first strike and then it will not respond in time for the rest of the combo.
When I try rebinding to other keys I don't have this issue and am consistently perfect dodging/parrying the same enemy. Only encountering this issue with LMB and RMB from what I tested.

Also, when I bound QTE to LMB, the prompt just said "A" and didn't react to either LMB or "A" on keyboard (as if it was bound to the controller's "A"?).

Any chance of adding an auto feature for the defensive QTE? Not 100% success of course but some kind of built in system for people with hand mobility issues can play

I'm not hearing any dialogue in the opening cutscene. Still happening after I verified game files. Not sure if this is a bug or not, but all other audio is fine.

I'm on PS5 and experiencing this exact same issue. Music is working but dialogue is completely absent even in the overworld. :( Reinstalled, all my sound settings are normal, all my other games are working normally.

About to try to rebooting the console in safe mode to clear the cache and see if that helps.

[Edit] Booting the PS5 in safe mode and clearing the system cache seems to have done the trick! Not sure what to do for people on PC if they experience this though.

DS4 support or the option for PS prompts/icons! Windows will only detect a ds4 controller when using moonlight!
Dlss with dlaa which is supposed to use 100 percent of the res isnt using 100 percent. Where as quality which is using 66 percent res is looking much better about 1440p in comparison to dlaa which is looking heavily up scaled, almost as if it's being scaled from 720p. It appears that dlss set to dlaa isn't working correctly. Also the game appears to be over saturated with contrast, brightness and gamma etc. Which white washes the characters faces. I had to lower these settings to improve the games visuals. Please note I don't have to do this with other games. I am using hdr, could be a setting with hdr in the games software.

I am now very happy with how I have now managed to get the game to look and it's performance, which is a constant stable 60 fps no drops (so far).

I'm using the following settings:

GENERAL
Scaling: dlss
Scaling mode: quality
Capped at 60fps
Vsync off
Display mode set to full screen
Res 4k

IMAGE
Gamma set to 0.8
Contrast seto 0.8
Brightness 0.75

POST PROCESS
Motion blur on
Film grain on (no difference when off)
Chromatic aberration on
Vignette on

RENDERING
Anti aliasing epic
Shadows medium
Glabl illumination high
Reflection medium
Post process high
Texture high
Visual effects high
Foliage high
Shading medium

the scenes is in low resolution and more artifacts, i played in 2k monitor
Ixde Apr 24 @ 1:04pm
for people having dark manor, bump Gamma to 1.5, its not great, but at least playable
Small feature request: add the option to darken the blurred background window for subtitle texts by two or three steps. In some scenes it's kinda hard to read the text.

PLEASE fix the fact that your cut scenes look like absolute garbage. It seems lie you have set the resolution to 480p and the used the worst upscaler to render them at the required resolution. I cannot stand looking at the low poly mess when clearly these are gorgeously crafted scenes ruined by up scaling. Also LET ME TURN OFF UPSCALING COMPLETELY. I do not want to be forced to use XESS or TSR by default. Where is FSR 3.1 or 4.0?
