So try high or medium with epic textures for more optimised experience.
I personally get around 100-120fps on a 4K screen.
Then you are 100% gpu bound, you have a monster cpu but your graphics card isn't powerful enough to push high fps in this game. Monster hunter uses a vastly different engine, not a fair comparison.
Hello I see you only played 11 min, just to tell you the beginning ( tutorial ) have a lot of details and NPC, that is why you are low on FPS. I have with my 4090 around 90/102 fps
Once you are into the game, there is less NPC to show and the game become more smooth, I get to 154 fps on a 4090 full max settings and ultra wide.
I suggest you just try to do the tutorial with low FPS, and see what happen when you enter the expedission, there you can change settings and see how it goes.
Still note that it's a solo game, on thoses game we generaly prefer pretty than smooth, soooo 60 fps is generaly enough
If I put on Epic Settings with DLSS Quality (@4k being rendered 66.7% to 1440) then I get about 80-100 FPS. Normally in the lower range near 80.
Putting on DLAA @4k (100% Native) I get about 100 FPS at the medium preset.
To my eye this looks the best, but I really am not a big fan of AI upscaling.
Best way to check is to download special k (free), open up the UI when you are playing.
Click on "advanced", there you see a real-time graph that shows exactly if you are gpu or cpu bound, works on all games.
I totaly understand that ! and it's normal, but try yeah to see just a bit after the prologue when you leave the city, and hit use up if you find it smoother, ajust settings there and normaly it should be fine. Well at least for me it's running smoothly.
But really hope you can have fun on that game, because personaly I do and hope you get above 100 fps at least very soon
