Yes, game's usually start working when you update BIOS, I also heard that if you clean the cables inside your computer it makes the game run smoother.
So simply underclock your CPU a little bit, to run more stable.
You can also install the microcode BIOS updates. But if this update goes wrong, it will be a pain in the ass to get the mainboard running again. So, if you don't dare to update your mainboard, download the Extreme Utility Tuning program from Intel and turn down the Performance Core Ratio with 3 points. You won't see any difference in FPS, but the CPU will run way more stable.
After doing this, I can play straight one hour now before crashing again.
Btw, comrades, do any of you use multiple displays? I presume it has something with getting this annoying crash .-.
P.S. 3080 + 12700k / 2 displays / 566.36 driver - got 3 crashes during prologue (1 even gave me "No signal" error XD) - after going fullscreen no crashes at all (:
