And honestly I'm tired to have to find some random hardware tweaking to make a game works normally. I meet the recommend specs, the product I bought should work without crashing on launch period.
After multiple attempts, 1 thing I noticed that fixed the issue on mine is using Default tuning for the GPU. MY 6700xt is rock solid while overclocked when playing other games so I think it's not my system's issue. I've tried back and forth enabling/disabling the GPU overclock and also tuning each section specifically one at time (volt, vram timing etc). If anyone interested, you can just create a separate gpu tuning profile for Clair Obscur and set it to default tuning if you already have overclocked GPU that works in other games.
I never said it is not supported by any manufacturer. ReBAR is worthless for AMD and Nvidia, as those manufacturers do not utilize it(Do you know the difference between support and utilization?).
You won't even have an expected FPS increase, it is literally worthless for those manufacturers. Intel is the only manufacturer that not only utilizes ReBAR but also made it essential for their cards' performance.
Instead of doing backflips with the hardware, people should bombard the devs via their bug submission form so they actually acknowledge and fix this.
What do you want me to report? The game crashes 100% of the time on launch there's no repro steps or anything. Game loads => crash.
Get down your high horse buddy.
Absolutely NOT lol
9800X3D with RTX 5070
Switching to DX11 helped a bit — the crashes became occasional — but the graphics quality was terrible, especially the textures.
After hours of searching for fixes and testing countless solutions, I finally found what worked for me, and I hope it helps others too:
➡️ Lowering the max frequency of my GPU.
My setup:
GPU: AMD RX 7600
CPU: Ryzen 7 5700X
I used AMD Adrenalin to modify the frequency under Performance > Tuning. By default, the RX 7600 can boost up to 2800 MHz — I noticed that crashes started happening around 2650 MHz and beyond. So I reduced the maximum frequency to 2600 MHz, and ever since then I’ve been able to play the game for over 6 hours with zero crashes, even in heavy open areas and during combat.
I've had similar issues with a few other Unreal Engine 5 games, and I’m almost certain this tweak will help with those as well. If it does, I’ll update this post.
Wishing everyone here the best — I truly hope this fix works for you too!
Worked like a charm, thank you very much
