Use DLSS with Preset K. Use the Override feature in the Nvidia App for it.
If the Nvidia App shows no options for the game yet:
Go into the Nvidia Control Panel and under "Manage 3D settings", select the games executable and hit "Add". Then save the Control Panel and reload Nvidia App.
No clue why any of that needs to be done that way but it works.
Even with this though, the shadows are not great. They are far far less noisier then before though, especially in character motion.
I cant find the games executable in the nvidia control panel
Go to appdata/local/Sandfall/saved/config/windows and create a file called Engine.ini
[/script/engine.renderersettings]
r.Shadow.Virtual.SMRT.RayCountLocal=0
r.Shadow.Virtual.SMRT.RayCountDirectional=0
r.Shadow.Virtual.SMRT.SamplesPerRayDirectional=0
r.Shadow.Virtual.SMRT.SamplesPerRayLocal=0
Add this into it.
Save and set the file to Read only or the game will delete it.
This completely disables soft shadows and gives sharp shadows instead. I wasn't able to get rid of the noise with soft shadows enabled.
damn this did the trick! Thank you so much. I can live with this. I can't with that noisy mess of soft shadows. That needs to be reworked. Now I can enjoy this beauty of a game.
