Subtitles are not turning off

Why are there still subtitles for dialouge despite turning them off? Totally breaks immersion for me.

Same for me. For once we seem to have a good integral VF and a good lip synchronization, it must be spoiled by the presence maintained of subtitles while they are deactivated in options . It’s painful enough there is always a problem at this level . The immersion is less good and I wonder even if I will not wait for a hypothetical patch .

As no one else adressed this so far, I guess it won't be a priority or even get solved at all.

Same. Subtitles are super distracting for me. It would be great if the "disable subtitles" setting actually disabled gameplay subtitles.

Oh for ♥♥♥♥♥ SAKE. I was really looking forward to this, but now I'll spend half the cutscenes trying not to read ahead. If you're fully voice acted, let me turn off the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ subtitles.

So the lip syncing for the VF is better?? Because the English one is really really horrible.

Guys,it is a j-rpg thing, press A to continue is supposed to make you feel more in control of the story. It is distracting as hell.

Compared to, for example, the lip synch of games such as "starfield", it is "yes" very good .

Remember, this isn't a triple A production. The faces look ok in rendered scenes, but ingame they're kind of stiff. But the mouth is only moving when words are spoken, which is a big plus for me.
