Unfortunately that's still not always a given.
Only thing missing in that regard is a Depth of Field toggle.
However having options from the get go for the other effects is already a great thing.
So it's very unfortunate that now there is some upscaler or something else that's compromissing the image quality.
When the game started I waslike "wtf is this in 720p?" I'm playing in 4k mind you, and tried every combination of upscaler, including anti-aliasing mode only, and it looks like ♥♥♥♥.
Try antialiasing in low, with dlss quality. This changes the visuals completely. I think it has to do with a bug in rendering when using the game antialiasing. Also download Dlss Swapper, and swapp the dlss version from 3.7.20 to 310.2.1
Go to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Sandfall\Saved\Config\Windows (at least for the steam version of the game)
Create an Engine.ini file (just a TXT file named Engine.ini)
Put this in the file:
Code:
[SystemSettings]
r.MotionBlur.TargetFPS=0 ; adjusts the motion blur shutter speed to always match the framerate
r.Tonemapper.Sharpen=0 ; disables the default UE sharpening
Close the file and SET IT TO READ ONLY.
Hmm I tried it..I don't see that a huge difference but maybe it's slightly better.
Thanks in any case.
What's also a bit weird, despite having 60 fps the game still don't feels that smooth to me.
I may need to play a bit around more with the settings.
Also the game is quite taxing considering the current image quality..
