[gamepass version] dualsense controller not recognised

i'm writing here as gamepass have no discussions feature. i can't use my dualsense controllerr on gamepass version. game isn't responding to input and controller tab displays layout for xbox gamepad (i seen it should have dualsense in case one is detected)

Does xbox allow PlayStation inputs through their software?
I have proper support with my PS controller through steam.

I fixed it. You have to use the "DS4Windows" Program. It seems to be a common Problem, that Xbox Gamepass Games sometimes dont recognize the PS-Controller.
Sadly the Symbols arent the PS Symbols, so the Xbox Controller Symbols are shown on Screen, but the PS Controller works.

Nothing we can do about it. Use DSX or Ds4Windows and play with xbox prompts. Maybe if we are lucky someone is going to do mod to change prompts

Yeah they work for a lot of games. Oblivion Remastered worked perfectly in Gamepass, proper plug & play, no hassle. Not sure how they dropped the ball on this one.

For the same reason i am thinking about buying a XBOX Controller, but it doesnt make any sense, when i got multiple PS5 Controllers. So i have to live with it or buy it on Steam ..

From what I've seen & on the hardest difficulty, there will not be time for your brain to do the button conversions before you input, especially in the latter section of the game, where the inputs are extremely fast. Glad if you're able to do that, but it just seems tedious & not fun to have to deal with that.

GamePass doesn't really have a strong universal support for other controllers than Xbox, at least from my experience. For example games like Blue Prince or South of Midnight don't recognize a DS4/Dualsense so I'd go around it by either downloading a software that essentially turns your Dualsense/Dualshock4 into an Xbox controller (i.e DS4Windows) OR optionally get an 8BitDo 2 wireless adapter.

Steam Input can mess up the controls though while you use either from my experience so I'd just keep Steam closed while you use GamePass (creates double inputs for me but your experience may vary).

I've tried with dualsense and dualshock 4 and both don't work even with ds4windows, I've tried everything and nothing worked

Most games on Game Pass doesn't work with Playstation controllers. For games that do support PS controllers, it's because the devs go out of their way to specifically support them. Others just assume PC players use Xbox controllers.
