[gamepass version] dualsense controller not recognised

i'm writing here as gamepass have no discussions feature. i can't use my dualsense controllerr on gamepass version. game isn't responding to input and controller tab displays layout for xbox gamepad (i seen it should have dualsense in case one is detected)

I have Xbox controller, but cannot play with it via wireless, even though it is connected. Also DS5 does not work, obviously.

The first time I played this game using my PS5 controller, the on screen prompts, in game, all matched the correct symbols on the controller. Now, a few hours later, the on screen prompts are Xbox symbols!!! The controller works but the x,square,triangle,circle in game have been replaced by the Xbox xyab!!!!

I can make this work but how annoying and WTH happened??? Obviously, anyone would prefer for the symbols on the controller to match the onscreen prompts.

make sure you don't use steam input for your dual sense.
steam input makes Dual Sense act as an xbox controller. It also turns haptic feedback into simple rumble and disables other exclusives features if a game support them.

Hi all. I had the same issue with the PS5 Controller and I have found a workaround without using any 3rd party programs apart from Steam for the steam input.

I fixed it. You have to use the "DS4Windows" Program. It seems to be a common Problem, that Xbox Gamepass Games sometimes dont recognize the PS-Controller.
Sadly the Symbols arent the PS Symbols, so the Xbox Controller Symbols are shown on Screen, but the PS Controller works.

Even with ds4windows it dosent work for me and yes it’s put to Xbox 360
