The Parry and Attack QTE is the worst i have ever seen.
Honestly, I find the parry system really tough. I’ve never seen a game handle it like this, and I’m not a fan. Most attacks have some kind of built-in delay, and on certain enemies, you can’t even tell when a hit is actually about to land—it just feels off. You basically have to learn each encounter through trial and error, instead of reacting naturally in the moment. Some of the mobs are massive too, which makes it even harder to read their movements.

And don’t even get me started on the QTEs for attacks—they’re hands down the worst I’ve ever come across. I genuinely don’t understand why they were designed this way. The timing window is tiny and super punishing, even on normal difficulty. There’s definitely a lot of work needed from the devs to clean this up. Sometimes you need to parry three times just to land a counter, and then the mobs suddenly switch up their patterns… it’s wild.

What worries me even more is that I can already tell it’s only going to get worse when you’re up against multiple mobs—especially if they’re different types. It’s hard enough to deal with one, but juggling different patterns and timings? That’s just chaos.

Timing needs to be adjusted for sure. Needs to have more of a fraction of a second added to them and you will get used to the timing of the extra attacks down the line

Timing is fair enough, but enemy animations simply don't match actual hit connection. Chromatic Lancelier fight is the earliest example. You can clearly dodge out of his attack, the model of his lance does not connect to you, but you still get oneshot - either because of a stroke seeing a gigantic lance near you or from the wind.

Adjusting to a single enemy means that you are already at a disadvantage when fighting an enemy with better animation hit connection.

Also mapping parry on a bumper is asinine.

Each attack has a sound effect wind up, just pay attention.
i can time it fine but the game doesn't always respond correctly sometimes but when it works IT WORKS hopefully they check that out.

Sadly I requested a refund for this reason. Not really interested in playing a turn-based game on the lowest difficulty because I don't have perfect reflexes + eyesight. I also felt like the dodges weren't triggering reliably even though I was being fairly consistent. Could be a byproduct of playing on keyboard.

Everything else was great, but the inclusion of action mechanics in a turn-based system was a bit of a letdown for me personally. I'm sure lots of people will enjoy the game, but it's not for me.

I agree it feels really clunky for me especially the big mobs that smash into you some of the timing feels just off for me. Some of the animations do not correspond correctly. i tested a few times on all the mobs on the first big map.

Legit play with mouse and keyboard, I was playing with a controller and really struggling to nail the timings but then I swapped over and it felt so much better for some reason.

What i don't like is this game force you to use parry, because dodging is not rewarding. I play souls-like without parry and here, in turn-based game i forced to, what a joke. QTE window is super short too.
I mean, ppl that like to sweat in games, don't play TB games. They prefer pure action.

Overall game is great, though.
