Unreal Engine 5. WHY

I am currantly installing this game and i read that it is made with Unreal Engine 5. Yesterday i couldn`t start Oblivion Remastered and now i read this.

Do you think they made this game good or are there any problems?

Beside the problem with overlay that is about to get fixed, it work very nice, even with average setup.

I was concerned about this also. But I have been running it under Lunix stutter free on Epic 4k settings. So it appears to be well optimized and I am one that get's really bothered by the slightest stutter or hitching. For it to be running day 1 Lunix is impressive in itself to me.

My game stutters all the time. I have a 7900xtx and even the 30fps cutscenes have 5fps dips.. I even scaled to 50% with TSR or XeSS but didn't help.

The stuttering makes it unplayable. There is no fix as its a known engine issue that Epic dont know how to fix.

UE5 can be good, if you disable every system that makes it different from UE4. Split Fiction did this and that game surprisingly runs great.

Only problems I have with Unreal Engine 5 games is the voltage problem with my CPU.

But the problem is gone now after the microcode BIOS update and Utility Extreme program from Intel.

Voltage Problem? Like CPU is 90% or something

yeah ue5 blows, my game started crashing my pc after 5 minutes of play after going on the expedition. Same with Oblivion, but I can play it a bit longer.

Yeah, you have bigger issues with you PC. Keep blaming UE5 though. lol

your mileage may very, but as someone who also had horrible performance with Oblivion, this runs much better. And scales better, turning down settings actually improves framerate. Oblivion i was only getting like 55 outdoors dlss balance, and many settings turned down to medium.

Expedition 33 i have everything at ultra except global illum and shadows at high, dlss quality and i get 55-75 depending on the map. Generally feels less stuttery too.

Yeah it runs better. My CPU is not on 90% in this game. I don`t know the cause for this, but if i play Oblivion its on 90%

This is a common problem with anti lag.
I also play on 7900xtx and no stutters.
