So if the game sees that your screen is 3840 wide, it will create a 4K image 16:9 cut in two.
Whereas if it used verticality the game would see that your screen is in 1080.
I've attempted to use UUU unlocker but I it just ends up freezing the game, I think the version I have may be an older one that's not compatible unfortunately (V5.4.2) but if you confirm the newer one does indeed work with the game I might give it a shot.
Edit: Got the new version from his Patreon and it worked like a charm. Got confused and downloaded an older one by mistake before and didn't realise 5.4.1.1 was the only one that worked with it. Good news as there's no more black bars for me in cut-scenes which is pretty much all I wanted, thanks for the advice. Seems like a great program.
