No FSR, no frame gen...

The game is running TERRIBLY without FSR and FG, there is XeSS for some reason (which nobody uses), but the most important things are not in the game... how is that even possible.

FSR is only good "if" your specs meet the max requirements, then it looks better. Otherwise, if it's a demanding game that for example require perfectly timed parries, you are going to have a bad time.
TLDR: maybe look up what FSR does before asking for it, especially if your specs are low.

Depends on your card. I'd start with 1920x1080 and work my way down until you hit the required FPS. Just make sure you stay in the right aspect ration (16:9).

I know it's ridiculously priced, especially now. I'm doing well enough to justify it though and nothing frustrates me more than having my hobby ruined by these awfully optimised games. Sucks that the only way is to brute force through the bulls**t sometimes. I did get a base msrp card though (MSI Ventus) and I flat out refuse to pay more than that on principle.

No, it's a feature of AMD's GPU driver Adrenaline. Why wouldn't you use DLSS with a Nvidia card?

Hey this helped me get around 100-110 FPS so I appreciate it. Wasn't running BAD before but the extra frames help and it doesn't really look any worse.

I can't get Optiscaler working no matter what I try. I've got the right pathway, the dx12.dll, the latest nightly, all in the right place. Game crashes to black screen at launch. I think this might be another one I'm putting down until my new card arrives. Sigh...

XeSS performs poorly in this game. Sandfall is using XeSS 2, but frame generation doesn't seem to work on AMD. You will get around 35 fps at best on Epic settings and native AA.

Use OptiScaler instead to emulate DLAA+FG and get around 70 fps.

I'm running it in Epic graphic, with an 6950xt, in 1440p, XeSS ultra quality, and with AFMF active -> 120-130 constant FPS.

Looks great so far.
