You know nothing of the games plots, and yet you assume that it is "very clearly an all female adventuring team."
dude you don't know anything. Your assumptions are making you into a miserable person.
The Japanese hero is always surrounded by women in Japanese anime.
the game is called Clair Obscure not Pierre Obscure and they are shoehorning blokes into it for no good reason
Just as a FYI, the French name would be Claire with an "e". "Clair" means "light" as in a light color, like light blue. It can also mean "clear". But I think in this case it's mostly about color and lightning.
As "Clair obscure" means "light dark/darkness"
Also, "Clair Obscur" is a painting reference, when light and darkness are used together to make the artwork stand out. It's not talking about a woman's name (which would have an E at the end, as in 'Claire').
this should have been another masterpiece like FFX-2 but they folded to the bloke agenda sadly
specific moment? here is the cover of the game, notice anything?

and perhaps the name is a double meaning both her name and the other, since they spelled Obscure wrong as well
Also they didn't spell it wrong: it's French for crying out loud. The phrase comes from the French language, and they're French developers. You're grasping at straws.
