Low forum activity...
looks like people are not really interested despite the top ratings. Kinda sad. What do you think the player count will be on launch day? Can it reach 50k? Maybe even 100k?

100k would be huge for this game, jackpot i would say. 50k would be an average performance. Less is bad.

Of course there is low forum activity, the trolls don't have any DEI propaganda to cry about, and thank God for that. The last thing we want is a sh*tshow here.

This is considered low activity?
Who cares?
Whats the obsession over current player count in a single player game?

Back in the day nobody gave a ♥♥♥♥.

People care because player count represents how well game is selling. People care because they want to see more games like this. IF this game sells badly, while being really good, it will be just another nail in the coffin of original ideas.
Movie industry today is like this. So many people cry about non original movies, but when actually something original and good comes out, no one watches it.

Trolls just say the things they want to be true like they are true.
Games can be successful without having 100k active players depending on how much went into development. Dark Souls 1 only had 11k players on Steam for example. https://steamcharts.com/app/211420

I would assume alot of people will be playing on Gamepass, like I am.

Dark souls was console exclusive before it went to steam years later. Do not compare re-release of an old game and completely new one. With a cast of highly paid actors and full mo-cap cutscenes.

50k to 100k would be a huge success.

What low activity the game just started available for preload, and the forum already active so long ago

Are you pretending to be dense or are you that dense? Dark Souls sold a lot more consoles than on PC years before it released on Steam. And Claire Obscura is clearly a lot more expensive game than Dark Souls with all its voice acting and mocap.

If it has 50k players at launch, that should be called a success. I'd say they'd be happy with even 30k.
Gotta understand that only 30 developers worked on this. So they don't suffer from a overblown budget. This is a new IP from a unknown studio, all they need is around 5m sames for this to be a complete success.
