And then you too can say you woke up.
Even the most based frenchman is woke to some extent.
Total freedom like BG3 = amazing.
Having stuff shoved down your throat like veilguard = horrid.
it pushed away its art and story to be preachy.
its fine to have options, pronouns, but to include culture war ♥♥♥♥ in a fantasy setting makes no sense
If the option is there, i dont care, if its forced its terrible.. like idiots calling Kingdome come deliverence 2 woke, mate u had to take several steps to get the option of a singular bromance that was super optional haha.
We'll have to wait and see i guess
Man - this topic has been mental since that thumb-looking-dude did a ten minute video ranting about being able to choose your pronoun. This entire thing is so performative on the part of the anti-woke crowd, it's actually brain-injuring.
Im pretty left, Im a Canadian Furry, (ew).
but when i got to the part "Sorry I misgendered you, I must Punish myself" I refunded the game.
adding an extra option or 82 more options for people is more or less the same.
The dialogue was awful. It's nothing to do with whether or not it was 'woke' or not.
The dialogue in Mass Effect 4 was also awful - "my face is tired" - but people didn't try to claim that was because of the *subject* ('feeling tired')... they knew it was awful because of how it was written. That's exactly the same with that companion.
Better writing would have made that entire character more bearable. The stupid thing is that I expect a hell of a lot of trans people would even agree... being trans doesn't mean you like crap writing.
Also, not unrelated, being a furry isn't left. I don't think it's right either. It's so far out of the mainstream that I don't think it fits either side of the political compass tbh.
