It's been a decade Bethesda has released nothing but mediocre games at best yet normies rush for their newest slop. It's simply beyond my comprehension.
Oblivion was far from the best Elder Scrolls anyway and was such a dip in quality over the previous games, so I don't understand the nostalgia either.

What makes you say the remake is bad?
They changed very little about the glaring issues the original game had, specifically with regards to the scaling of enemy & player power. Weapon attacks still hit like wet noodles after the enemies scale up to a certain point.
Some of us remember OG Oblivion unmodded, your option was to either swing a 2h weapon 40 or 50 times to drop an enemy, even when you had max weapon skill with the top weapon you could craft, or be a mage with custom created destruction magic who throws up 3-4 buffs, then proceeds to 1-2 shot everything.
And Bethesda refuses to offer mod support.
Rave reviews so far, significantly improved graphics, and the game was already originally good. Seems like it's going to do well. Not that there's going to be a significant overlap between these two games. I've already purchased both tho
It's so over 🤭
