The overlap of turn based Japanese style story-focused RPG and Western open world action RPG is not 'huge'. Certainly not big enough to make a huge impact of people who are going to skip this game in lieu of that one.

It will probably impact sales in some way, but there are likely also many people like me who played Oblivion at some point in the past twenty years and crave new experiences rather than re-playing narrative games they already sunk a lot of time into (and bought at the full price before already).

If the game is good, it will find its audience.

Very disappointed for the dev. team, Oblivion Remastered has already a player count of 85.000 concurrent players...
... altough it is not directly the same genre as E33, remember guys that wallet and most of all free time are limited, players who bought OR will most probably not be there "day one" for E33

E33 looks so great that I will for sure buy it next Thursday, sad too that Xbox/Bethesda did not make this "shadow drop" during their next showcase in June

I'm not so interested in interacting with cone heads and having a weird fan boy chase me all over Tamriel again... You can spend your money on the same game with all mods disrupted if you want. Come back when you become fearful of all the complaints at that forum.

Well, Oblivion has Body Type 1 & 2 (male is 2 this time because female is superior lol), but gamers, even anti woke people don't seem to care. They'll be busy for the next 2 weeks or so.

Nah. If anything I'm sure the community is pissed about the remaster because ALL the mods broke. I'll bet prior versions of the game have already been de-listed or are likely to be. Just Bethesda making another dumb decision.

No. No one asked for the Oblivion demake, and I am NEVER trusting anything Bethesda after making the mistake of buying and playing SlopField.
