Two Suggestions for the Devs: Steam Deck Support & No Denuvo
Hello everyone

I'm new here and admittedly don’t know much about the game yet—but from the little I’ve seen so far, I can already tell it has the potential to be something truly special. It reminds me of classic turn-based masterpieces like Final Fantasy. In fact, it’s quite rare for me, but I’ve already gone ahead and pre-ordered the game.

That said, I have two sincere wishes I hope the developers will consider:

1. Steam Deck Support

While it may not seem like a major factor, I truly believe Steam Deck support could make a significant difference—especially in markets like Asia, where handheld gaming is far more common than PC gaming. Games like Persona have thrived there due to accessibility and portability. Adding native support for handheld platforms like the Steam Deck could increase appeal and drive additional sales, both in Asia and globally. I'm from Denmark myself, but I always like to back up my suggestions with broader facts and trends.

2. Please Don’t Add Denuvo

I’ve already purchased the game, and like most players, I value a smooth, uninterrupted gameplay experience. Unfortunately, DRM systems like Denuvo are often associated with performance issues and don’t offer the protection developers might hope for.

Piracy is often misunderstood—numerous studies have shown that it’s not the real threat. The real problem lies in unauthorized third-party key resellers who profit from stolen credit cards or grey-market sources. Developers don’t see a cent from those transactions.

On the other hand, piracy can sometimes inadvertently help developers. Here's a simple scenario:

A kid can’t afford the game and pirates it.

They love it and talk about it constantly.

They share gameplay clips on social media or show it off at school.

Their enthusiasm convinces friends to buy it with birthday money or through their parents.

In the end, multiple legitimate sales happen thanks to that one unpaid experience.

While the initial pirated copy doesn't generate revenue, the ripple effect does—and often in meaningful ways. Many passionate gamers who pirate are also those who spend the most in the long run. They’re cautious buyers who’ve been burned by underwhelming titles before.

If a game is truly great—and I believe this one will be—it will resonate with people and drive its own momentum. With handheld support and no Denuvo, I genuinely believe this game could thrive and become a beloved title across regions.

Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
Every point I’ve made is supported by extensive research and publicly available studies. I’m simply advocating for what I believe is truly healthy for developers and the gaming community alike.

Warm regards,
A hopeful fan
