I finished Act 1. What percentage of the game do I have left?

How many acts are there?

the acts aren't really of equal length, but theres 3 acts, but you're probably only a quarter of the way, at best

3 acts, but in terms of story story, maybe 35%.

Act 2 is pretty lengthy story wise. And kind of considered the end of the game as it pertains to the story.

Act 3 technically is not very long story wise, however, it will take the longest due to you just leveling up to be able to fight. It’s the endgame if you want it to be, alternatively, you would roll into the story of act 3 after leveling a little.

Honestly I don't even advise for people to do side content as soon as Act 3 starts. You're gonna ruin the fights there. Sandfall clearly designed the entire balance that you immediately do the story then side content afterwards(in act 3).
I regret my experience and didn't appreciate the finale until I watched other people do it.

Yea, it’s a difficult choice regardless, hence why act 3 is the endgame if you want it. Do a little leveling just to survive the finale and then do endgame, level and do the endgame, or do the finale on super easy mode, or go into NG+ and that is your endgame leveling experience.

100% agree, and I did not much side content in act 3 in the first place. Mostly me being overleveled was from having fun in the Arena and doing Chroma bosses in act 1.

Act 3 story became a one-shot joke.
