Anyone else getting lost?
I haven't quite gotten lost yet but it feels like I am constantly bumbling around, not 100% sure if I am going backwards and eventually finding the correct path anyway. But I do get turned around a lot and it is somewhat exhausting trying to map out every area in my head, and every time I continue my session I have to figure out where I am again.

It's not the worst, and normally I think not having a map/minimap in games is a really good quality (dark souls), but the visuals and design of the levels doesn't really help me orient myself. Every biome kind of looks the same throughout and it constantly curves and turns around so I lose which way I started from.

I am managing. Just wondering if it's purely a me issue.

Yes I did allot. i just ended up backtracking until thing made sense again.
Going around in circles is what I do too. The game is so beautiful I don't mind though. I also get to grind levels so the round-about is somewhat beneficial.
Anyone not getting lost? Like you said, there's no uniqueness in the various paths you take within each area.

Early on, yeah, I would get turned around constantly after long fights & menuing. It felt to me like levels actually became more linear and easier to navigate as the game went on.
I bumble around a bit as well. But I'm also mainly searching around ever little nook and corner to find hidden items, as i try and map the area in my head and memorize landmarks.

Must be a nightmare for current generation who grew up relying on minimaps and navigation markers. 😂

2025 gamers when no minimap:

Getting lost on linear locations.

There is a hint for main paths at almost all locations: there is always some kind of light source, lamp, shiny stones, tourch etc

I am not getting lost but I am often missing or forgetting items and pictos.
There's also lots of annoying missing things. For example, there's a million merchants on the overworld selling haircuts/outfits, but if you don't have cash and need to come back, there is no markers for the merchants. So it's easy to forget them and move on with the game.

It's not the main, very linear path that's the issue, it's finding the items in side crannies . Doubt anybody could not find a way out of a level.

That's killing me especially. I already found a bunch of stuff I couldn't use and I know I'm going to have to retrace the entire world map at some point, maybe more than once.
