Holy moly. Dualliste came out of nowhere and is now one of my favourite bosses of all time. Pure, unadulterated kino.
Yeah, I know I am late to the party, loving the game, but I simply haven't had time to play as much as I want to due to life, but holy crap.
Dualliste is absolute peak in every single aspect. Design, arena, attacks and combos, the satisfaction of parrying/dodging him, the perfectly readable tells on all his moves, difficult enough on Expert to be a worthy opponent, but not to the point of being a slog.
I had to replay the fight more than once with weaker weapons because I was already lvl 31 by the time I fought him due to exploring super thoroughly. Absolutely insane. Just the DROP when he pulls out the 2nd sword and goes into phase 2 was sick as hell, but that ending cutscene of the team defeating him is just... *chef's kiss*.
His BGM might be one of my favourite boss BGMs of all time. Top tier. I don't recall the last time I exclaimed out loud "holy fking kino".
That's all.

Be the change you wanna see I guess?
It doesn't happen that often anymore that a game constantly amazes me in a good way, so I'm super appreciative when it happens!
Has an amazing sword too. I can get 9 action points almost every turn using it.

Dualliste was the point I started to see the game as GOTY, and slowly rose up to be my GOAT from there after. His music really kicked that view into overdrive.

Took me 8 wipes to figure it out. Felt accomplished... the watched a streamer beat it on expert his first try and I became Silky Johnson

Dualliste was the ultimate parry fight. Everything was telegraphed well and you didn't just die in one hit constantly.

Loved this fight as well. Plus I love the mystery behind them wearing the Expedition Zero markers. I felt like I jinxed myself when I was fighting. "Dudes, got four arms and only sword?" Phase 2 is 2 swords.
ha, I played myself.

To be honest, I'd be using it for sure simply due to the cool/memorable factor even if it was weak, but that sounds really good. Though with the way I'm set up, I already get plenty of AP, it doesn't matter.

Man, I thought Lampmaster was a sick fight with a sick BGM, but they completely blew me out of the water with Dualliste. Sublime. Especially how you've fought so many silly goobers with brush heads or shaped like a giant ball and suddenly you have this legendary bloodthirsty monster of a swordmaster who doesn't mess around for a single second. Peak.
If you like him, wait till you play Endless Tower.

still confused why that version has two red swords. they de-pontiff'd him
I made the mistake of having fought him as one of my first things in act 3. I did get him, but doing millions of damage is a long and boring task so early in the game and it strained my endurance.

Wait, you can skip him for later? I thought he was a mandatory boss? At least I didn't see any other way to go. Hmm.
Well, I haven't progressed past him yet, so no spoilers, if possible, please.

If you have not reached the open world portion of the game by now you don't need to worry about what I said.
