Update your Windows, device and GPU drivers.
Check your PC diagnostics, maybe something is wrong with it if it's updated.

Also, try verifying or reinstalling the game if you still have issues. Does this happen on every game?

That's a weird issue for a game to be causing. Did you check temps while the game was running?

Usually, if your pc shuts down without a BSOD, it's probably a hardware issue. If your temps look fine, check if your PSU is strong enough for your PC and check if your RAM has any issue.

The game is trying to gommage your computer.

Temps are fine on both cpu and gpu.... and the crash happens at random times I've got a seasonic 850w it's a couple of year old but haven't had an issue in anything else....

I've been reading about unreal engine and GPU going over 100% usage causing issues.

If your PC just shuts off like that under heavy load your powersupply is probably dying.

First, NexusMods Optimization for UE5:

https://www.nexusmods.com/clairobscurexpedition33/mods/4?tab=files (I personally used BASE)

Change to Fullscreen and native resolution of your monitor (Fullscreen borderless had PC Shutdown)
Change to XeSS Quality (Ultra Quality+ was where I had PC Shutdown)
Framerate unlimited (capped at 60 I had PC shutdown), VSYNC Disabled.
Set Shadows, Reflection, and Shading to Medium. Everything else is on High.
Bonus, I was able to re-enable post process effects except motion blurr because I do not like it, but motion blurr did not cause an issue if you do like it.
No AMD Adrenline/Control Panel tweaks whatsoever.

Haven't had PC Shutdowns since. UE5 Optimization Mod, Fullscreen, XeSS Quality, and a few settings on medium seemed to do the trick. I average 70-85 FPS, maybe 60-65 during some battles. Played for 4 hours in high demand areas, ran like a charm!

Here's a thread I found online I sent to a friend and it managed to help his crashing issues. Hopefully it helps you out too.
You could try power limiting your GPU using MSI afterburner, (not sure if there's the functionality to do that in the Nvidia control panel) to see if it may be your PSU.

Other than that, use system file checker commands in admin terminal, and also DISM fixes (Google it). These very often help me when I run into issues with a game crashing. Also, reinstalling chip set and GPU drivers can sometimes solve issues.

Did you perhaps use MSI Afterburner? it happened a lot to me with it, even in vanilla settings. I unistalled it and no more crash

I've had my pc shutdown before when gaming, it felt like someone had pulled the plug off the wall. Turned out to be my power supply unit (PSU) either failing or not providing enough power to my system. After upgrading the PSU i've never had that issue again. You could check to see if you are using 2 individual cables to power your GPU as opposed to 1 cable with the extension?

Try a different PSU if you can.

Did you combine lower graphics with 30fps cap? Otherwise you will get very high fps and still stress your system.
Do lowest settings, lowest resolution and 30fps cap. If it’s any more stable then it may give you an idea where to look.

But it does sound like a hardware issue.
