Roulette Lumina
So, what do you think about it guys? Do you use it or not? I think it is increased damage for sure but I really dislike the idea of doing rng damage.

This Skill is only worth it, if you have over 400 Lumi to stack all other damages multiplier and 100% crit. not doing any min maxing damage, you can hit over 300k to 400k damage at level 80. but after playing with it, over the last 30 hours. it is not worth it. There only one time that I had everything go well and hit 1.03 Million.
On paper and on average, Roulette is a 25% damage increase.
However, I hate to rely on a coin flip to either beat or not beat an encounter, so I usually play without it.
It is fun however, if you want to get the biggest number possible.

Personally I love it, always used it from the very beginning, makes fights far more dynamic than having just stable damage.

That's it, i feel the same, I knew it was a 25% damage increase but still rng damage is not for me. The only character where I use it is Gustave since he is really weak, but not the others

I personally don’t use it but it’s a very powerful Lumina in certain situations. Like if you can’t one shot Simon but can do enough damage to kill him fast enough if you get 200% damage bonus from roulette. Just keep trying until you get the damage.
Cheater, second chance and double AP basically guarantee 4 attacks.
It works well as a permanent lumina for multi hit skills. Like with Lune 8hits skills.

Only used by cheating YT guys making clickbait build :steammocking:

Joke aside it can help you to succeed at OS boss when your build is sub optimal but i wouldn’t recomend to use it in your average build.
i think its good early. It can make for some impressive dmg. It def looses value later, because when you can hit for 6k plus, its not doubled to 12k, its capped to 9999.

I got some impressive numbers from it, like sciels sealed fate. I was half way into act two and I managed to make it do 9999 per hit at one point. But then I found enough power to get that w out roulette. Ive been leaving it alone as of late.
It is worth if you need maximum first hit damage. If you don't succeed then try again.

After act 2 you get a Picto for going over 9999 damage
For now I use it only on Gustave since when it rolls in with his strongest skill, he can fire like 7 milions, other characters can fire 6-10 milions with most of their attacks and without roulette.

I don't use it. You can still do insane amount of damage without it. Monoco and Maelle carried me through the endgame not using Roulette once.

Considering most moves are multi-hit, roulette ends up averaging itself out DURING your character's turn. You're barely ever gonna end up in a situation where a bad roulette proc is gonna ruin your turn, because your move is gonna hit like 3 times and one of them is very likely to be a high-roll. So it's effectively just a pure damage increase.

I didn't use it until post-game because I didn't like the idea at first glance, but after trying it I'd say I'd probably slot it right away on a new playthrough

I am not using it on my 2nd NG playthrough. Something about seeing it activate both ways on multi-hit skills doesn't feel good.
Provided you don't go for "alpha strike" builds, it is definitely worth it past Act 2, once you get the Painted power picto allowing you to go above 9999 damage. 25% damage increase on average for only 5 lumina points is more than worth it.
