I was in the middle of Yakuza 4 & loving it when I tried this. Just can't resume. Maybe it's time to finally resume Doom TAG2? Turbo Overkill? FF9? Ultros? So many good games abandoned halfway.
Why delete your save though? The game gives you like 5 separate NG save slots
Yep, this game, BG3 and Nier:Automata were my gaming highlights so far. After that lots of games just felt empty and bland for a while. But worry not, you will find genres you like where no such pivotal games stand out and Indy games will always be there too, with fresh takes, sometimes ;P
Praying that they add some more content down the road.
Incredible experience though, I would put this game in my top 10 all time. Something very special was created here, and I am happy to have experienced it.
Just play Baldur's Gate 3, it's the closest.
BG3 beats you a lot more over the head with its themes and messages than Nier Automata lol. You probably don't feel it because its ideas hit a lot closer to home for you, but to me, BG3 is slop storywise compared to nier and this ? ^^''
Automata has a lot of nuances lol.
I’ve finished Witcher 3 on ps4 but didn’t have that much fun with it. Too many slow moments and uber dull gameplay even on the hardest difficulty. I understand these are fantastic games but not for me personally.
On the other hand I’ve really enjoyed Returnal for its story and gameplay. Not an RPG though.
Huh I would rate the games exactly inverse, Nier:Automata actual plot is extremely subtle while BG3 hammers you over the head with irrelevant garbage (The entire Slug/Guardian/Balduran plotline could be removed and you'd never even be able tell), and has bad writing and plotting for the 3rd act which is a deadly sin that affects all Larian games for some reason.
