33 People Built This Game Is A Marketing Lie
Please stop with the obvious marketing hyperbole. The number 33 is in the title and if you are to believe the sickening marketing overdrive that only 33 people built this game. That’s a lie. The game is good but it is not a masterpiece and was certainly not built by only 33 people. Look at the Windows credits for the game. It lists 502 individuals just for the Windows versions. As people we need to be better than this for falling for marketing scams. It’s like purchasing a rose for double the price for your girlfriend on Valentines Day when you can buy the very same rose the next day for half that. Not forgetting the absolute guilt trip put on you if you don’t buy a rose for your girlfriend on Valentines Day. Please don’t be fooled by either.

Credits aren't just the dev team...
Those 33 devs are all 33 y/o...Next year they'll be fired and will disappear from the building. With a small box.
...and if you add 33 together you get 66, times that by 33, you get 2178, which when properly rearranged make 1872, the birth year of the last Russian Tsarina, Alexandra Feodorovna... Coincidence? Sheeple...

You are not supposed to know that. Cease and desist.

33 mirrored & pasted over itself makes 88
like the crazy 88 in tarantino's movie
quentin is known to like feet
it's all about the feet i'm telling you
Wasn't it 33 core team of developers while marketing, voice acting etc are done by others? There may also be outsourcing for certain things. That's pretty normal in the industry, no?

It was a very small team compared to the industry bloat in every AAA title, regardless of the actual count. The point being made is irrelevant.

CEO talked about the korean teams working on the animations. Nobody said it was built "by only 30 people".

And OC OP don't own the game.. Classic 4chan frog.

As others said credits is much more than just the core team. Music, voice acting and all contractors add to the list.

But to give some perspective here are credits from Assassin Creed Shadow.
A 2 hours long scrolling. Over 7000 people according to google. Imagine the cost of paying so many people for an extended period of time.

I think that's just the core dev team. They never said the whole project was only done by 33 people in total.
It comes a bit down to who you define as built the game (testing, localisation, publishing?). The credits list 403 professional people that contributed to the game in some way:

https://www.mobygames.com/game/241065/clair-obscur-expedition-33/credits/windows/

For reference, Dragon Age: The Veilguard was said to be developed by a Bioware team of around 200 developers. If you check its credits, it lists 3656 professional people. That should put things in perspective.
i hope its not the devs that spread that, but just some loon. I mean, how can you discredit the many other contracted workers and claim only 33 people did it? Its lowly, and it doesnt make sense. The game is already good. It doesnt need to be mythical.

rofl, yes, am sure marketing people and people from the publisher worked directly on the game, and am sure the people that are listed multiple times in the credits are different people. It's funny to see people that don't know what they are talking about trying to be clever. ^^''
