- Once you win 4 battles with a picto equipped, it is mastered, meaning the effect of the picto can be equipped by everyone with lumina points.
- Using lumina points, you can basically equip the picto without equipping it. The more lumina points you have the more you can equip leading to being more and more busted.
Equip item > leave it equipped until learned (4 fights in clair, simplified) > equip something else and learn more
Equip learned abilities under pictos menu on bottom right.
You can either just make quick sessions where you equip pictos for their stats and not bother learning for awhile, then back track to kill easy stuff fast to learn everything or just learn as you go
Never played whatever FFTA is, i'm assuming final fantasy something. So if i'm reading right you don't have to have that certain pictos equipped to learn the ability you just have to learn it (4 battles) THEN you can equip it whenever?
You can remove the pictos "gear" after that and keep those pictos abilities active by using the pictos menu specifically (uses the lumina points up for each thing you enable/turn on)
Yes. Though you only get the effect, not the stat boost of the picto.
Pictos have different stat boost divided between speed, health, critical rate, etc.
You can see them as gear. So it's still important to equip the right pictos if you want a specific build.
1. Equip pictos, receive stats and passive.
2. Fight four battles with it equipped.
3. Receive lumina with same name and passive as picto. (No stat bonus.)
4. Now you can equip lumina. Lumina points are a finite resource that cover the cost of the lumina. The lumina grants the same passive as the picto would have, though luminas don't have only three slots, you can equip as many as your lumina points allow. (Also, again, lumina does NOT grant the stat bonuses.)
Edit: Also, of note, lumina can be equipped on everybody, even the same one at the same time. A picto is just a one-off deal.
