Gameplay was repetitive trash. All you have to do is button mash/spam attack and not have to do anything else and you win every match. No strategy involved at all.
having a solid gameplay loop that doesn't vary much doesn't just mean its bad.
That... isn't true. You can't really beat FF7R without using skills, it's not balanced around the normal attacks.
FF7R without skills would be like E33 with guns only, and guns get significantly stronger than FF7's attack spam
Also centering the games on the casino area and minigames is a disaster IMO.
The minigames are annoying and nobody cares to do this BS.
They should have combined part 2 and 3 in a single game.
And yes the story is absolute nonsense.
You go through the entire game and it feels like you're doing tourism rather than follow a coherent storyline. Which I guess is what happens in Act 2 of the OG, but they didn't have to copy the OG that hard.
I liked part 1 for what it was (despite deep flaws).
But Rebirth was ultra mid story wise, I honestly can't bring myself to play it again, and only played it so i can then play part 3 and understand what's going on.
But I'm worried about part 3. The writing is abysmal, like Disney level bad.
Please explain how i did it then?
You're lying?
