The World Outside the Game? (Spoiler)
The game's outer world is actually more intriguing than the game itself. Throughout the experience, we come across terms like Canvas, Projection Layer, Cognitive Loop, Axon Bridge, and Neural Stack — all of which are directly related to neural structures. For example, in E17, there's this line: "She chose to be integrated permanently. There was no other choice." — which instantly brings to mind works like Ghost in the Shell, The Matrix, or Paprika.

In many of the recordings between E1 and E60, we see different variations of the same events, which clearly points to some kind of loop. It’s strongly implied that outside the main setting, there's a dark and hyper-technological world — maybe even a cyberpunk universe. Or perhaps we’re dealing with a dystopia ruled by artificial intelligence, much like The Matrix.

Take White Sand, for instance — it's clearly corrupted data. The Painters and Writers are in conflict, and we don’t even know who they really are. There's a high chance they’re both types of AIs. The Painters might be simulation designers, while the Writers could be system engineers — one shaping the world, the other coding it. But every now and then, those breakdowns like White Sand occur.

It’s a game packed with content you could theorize about for hours. Fascinating and thought-provoking.

The story has been reworked many times. Initially it was setting in a sci fi dystopian universe. So, your suppositions are pretty possible and probably give a meaning to the whole actual story.
