Potato PC help

Anyone else playing this game on a spud? So I'm still using an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Super. I'm just wondering before I upgrade is anyone else still using this card and what is the best setting for it? On low graphics it just looks off, and on medium or high I can hear my computer straining against it I'm certain this thing is about to go on fire if I keep playing for more than 5 minutes. :D

I have a laptop with a 1660 TI. I don't know if there are lots of differences between those cards.

I have resolution 1080p. Turned XESS to anti-aliasing. Turned all post-processing off. And play with everything on high except for medium shadows. The game runs very smooth for me and looks good.

Edit: temps (C) are high 60s, low 70s for cpu and gpu both.

And I just remembered I have 2 mods from nexusmods that tweaks the engine. I don't know how much difference those 2 make.

Thank you very much I'll have a look at those too. I think I've hit my comfort spot my computer seems able to handle 2560x1440 okay as long as everything is on medium, I've turn post-processing on low, I'm on XESS as I only have TSR as another option and I think that reduces my performance, it's all 30fps but I'm fine with that tbh. XD

Edit: And the temperature isn't so bad about 56°c when I shut it off
