What a ♥♥♥♥ design decision. You NEVER take agency from the player with regards to something like that.
From that point I just rushed to the end with no real interest, and if to be frank, I would have refunded it if possible.

First he tries self deletion...like a P....then he dies begging to be spared...also like a P
OP should be glad the character changed...though it didnt really improve by a huge margin

Yeah and you were wrong. He didn't die begging to be spared, we clearly didn't play the same game. He was asking why he was doing what he was doing and they should be on the same side (because other dude is clearly a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Expeditioner) but ultimately drew his sword and gun, he even drew blood with Overcharge canonically, he also dies drawing his sword again even without his arm. He went out fighting try to get his sister/daughter figure to run away.
