[Spoiler] Small Burgeon Quest

I know that you are supposed to fight two different enemies for this, but I fought one of them [/spoiler] before accepting the quest, and now the quest is not completable. Is this intended?

You can finish the quest by killing any of the burgeons. However I didn't have an issue before turning in the singular burgeon i killed before i accepted the quest

Do you have the flesh to give to him? Did you bring it to him? Did he eat it? Did you leave the zone/rest afterwards and then return? You need to give a lot more info if you're looking for help.

Either give him the quest item. Or leave and come back if you gave. I did the same thing, and it still worked out. You can find the quest item before having formally accepted the quest.
