Endless tower
respect to any that finished that on normal or expert difficulty on first playhrough. Just on easy the damage and health pools were insane. Seemed like they also added and extended some versions of attacks. For some enemies that players have already encountered. With different or longer attack chains. Couldn't imagine how much of pain that would be on a higher difficulty. Even Maelle's Gommage hitting over 5,000,000 damage. Didn't seem to really knock some down. Think there HP like doubles or triples on higher difficulty's. If that is the case then damn..

I did the tower in chunks in between doing other Act 3 things. Really, none of the tower fights are as bad as the final bosses of Flying Manor or Renoir's Drafts. I think the last fight can be a bit rough if you get there too early, but it's also a fight you can abuse pretty heavily since it's two bosses with a shared health bar.
Painted love was probably the second hardest fight in the game for me after simon. For some reason it was always the three meteors that got me.

And yeah doing them in chunks as you progress the optional act 3 stuff is definitly preferable.

i did that in one full go the only fight i struggled with where the last 2 :D
did it on expert at level 80-90

genuinely just requires a good build and skill for parrying.

Ill say the last trial is WAY easier than the 2 before it. beat the last challenge on my first try, the two before that were really hard.

I also got brick walled by stage 5 trial 3. that one is a build check, if you cant win that you need to level up and get some better lumina/weapons/pictos set up.

I went from being 1 tapped and hardly doing dmg to doing IMMENSE dmg and surviving multiple hits.

its more than possible ESPECIALLY on standard. genuinely just have to adapt and overcome, its not AT ALL necessary to ng+ to do it.

EDIT:

general build was verso, maelle, and lune

had verso and maelle set up for IMMENSE first turn dmg, and lune set up to do dot over time with ice and earth.

The last one wasn't actually that bad in terms of damage but few before were real nasty. Hmm think might of missed the ones at the Flying Manor. Glad you mentioned it, thought did most of everything. Pretty sure already cleared all of Renoir's Drafts unless missed some hidden boss. Don't think finished Flying Manor though

One I hated the most were the ones that debuffed you. Like the one keeps spamming the inverted debuff making it so characters take damage when healed. Wasn't super hard but really annoying to keep curing them. The ones that bind you to so would have to parry. The worse debuff though are the ones that cancel your skills, man I hate that one. Thankfully doesn't usually last long.

Inverted is genuinely a positive on normal/expert. You tend to revive much more frequently than you heal.

There are a total of 33 fights.

Completed the whole thing on normal. Many fights were tricky and required multiple tries as you really need to parry to both survive as well as deal damage to the bosses' huge health bars. The last 3 trials in particular were especially challenging.

Clea finally having a heartfelt conversation with Alicia was a very cool reward.

Wouldn't agree, it prevents you from using Healing Fire (heal 25% hp on hitting a burning enemy). You're always setting enemies on fire, and once I got that pictos, I stopped using healing tints/spells altogether.
