Progress on uber boss (spoilers)

Holy moly I finally got him to 50% HP at phase 2 and it finally seems possible now. Really a fantastic fight. All of the "unfairness" to it feels (shield steal, permakill, hp reduction attack) right for a boss like this. The attacks are super difficult but can be learned. Phase 2 felt impossible at first but it slowwwllyy coming together for me. Gotta say, I didn't believe at first, but now I do. I don't even care what this guy gives you. It's just gonna be great when he finally goes down. Still need more consistency on his combos. The light speed one is especially brutal... but sometime soon.

The only weird thing that's kind of happened is I wish phase 1 was skippable somehow. Like... it's pretty trivial once you start learning phase 2. Feels like I'm finally starting to get a hard guitar solo down but every time I miss more than 2 notes I have to play through the entire verse and chorus again before I can practice it. Minor quibble.

God I hope there isn't a phase 3 though because I think my body might physically give out.

Just one thing to prepare you for, at 30-40% HP left he uses a one time attack that vanishes the entire party. Like Renoir does for a single party member.
Difference is that attack can neither be dodged nor parried and it hits 100% of the time.
So you NEED the last 2 members that come in after that on top of their game too since they need to finish him off.

Reading that, I'm kinda not sorry that I one shot him with Gommage, lol.

I just wanted the achievements at that point though. I'll probably go back and learn the fight less "cheaply" in the future when I want a challenge!

Yeah, it's kind of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I don't want to use my reserve team so I'm just working on one-shotting him now. At least enough to bypass this -_-
