If you didn't like it - fine.
But you also have to accept that a lot of people apparently did like it.
There is no right or wrong when it comes to oppinions.
The whole game itself is jut "a dream".
They even allow you to decide what happens with the world.
The lyrics of every other track in the game are about painting and fake Versos and whatnot.
And those some people will tell you that something like Goethe's Faust is a great story
It' really staggering...
2. I've read enough books, played enough games, and watched enough anime to know that there are a lot stories that are cool and interesting at best (sometimes convoluted and needlessly filled with unearned twists at worst). E33 seems cool and interesting. Are there a few head scratchers at the end of Act 2...sure. But I just enjoy playing the game and being in the world and I want to see more. (I'm in Act 3)
3. Yes, people love to throw around words like masterpiece, perfect, and deep. Are these hyperbole? Probably. Are people overreacting about this game's narrative? Sure. But it's new and exciting and that's what people do on the internet. And for some people, this may be the game that shows them that games can be more than what they thought.
I think u got the story wrong. Gustave was A character in the story, not THE character. So his death was, to create the story. Not to lead it.
We all have opionions and nobody should tell others what theirs should be, like u did though the flower.
the like and dislike ratio on this ''randomyoutubeguy37'' tells me i am not alone.
There are poeple in this world who do not get the story or are simply insensitive through current media. And that's fine too.
Edit: lul. This yt guy just baits with his videos. holy F. Bro turns down every game he touches and shts on it. Maybe he needs help in another way.
Would be different if you actually had your own thoughts but youre just linking someone else's video and doing the equivalent of that mouth breather Asmondgold going "yup... this is true actually... yep... yeah man"
Also, you know there's a whole third act, right? You're as entitled as anyone not to like the story, but maybe you should finish the game before deciding you hate it's story?
The 5% crowd on copium.
There is always a cyclical divide on newly released stories/games/movies. Regardless of where you stand on that divide you engage with it anyways because that is how we humans get our kicks. Plenty of stuff that is considered a Master Piece doesn't do it for me while plenty of it does it doesn't mean anything.
Some people really just can't accept that the writers of a story didn't seek their personal approval for how to write it.
I think that's fair. I was getting a bit fed up with the way they kept dragging out the mystery by the end of act 2. It was starting to feel like I was playing Lost: The Game.
I don't regret playing and will still recommend it to others (while warning them to not expect a world shattering narrative).
Overall, I rank it a 8.5/10. -1 point for the weak story and -0.5 for balance issues. If they fix the balance it's up to a 9.
