Masterpiece, 2025 can just skip straight to the GOTY Awards
Sorry, Death Stranding 2, and I still love you, Kojima-san, ever since Penguin Adventure. :)

Sorry, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 1, KC:D 2, and all the OUTSTANDING and incredibly talented staff from Warhorse Studios. I love your story, shenanigans, and redemption, Mr. Henry of Skalitz. I dearly love both games.

BUT....

This game will DEVASTATE the Game Awards. Best Narrative, Best Score/Music, Best Performance, Best Independent, Best RPG, Best Art Direction, Best Audio Design, Best Debut Indie Game, Player's Voice.

Sandfall deserves EVERY penny for such a unique game—truly ONE IN A BILLION.

They created a multifaceted beast of a game that transcends gaming as I've known it since I started playing games in 1980 (well over 14k games so far, not stopping anytime soon), and dwarfs all current AAA games with such a small budget that it'll force big companies to rethink what the hell they are doing — with management, executives, and higher-ups CLUELESS on how they go about creating good games — culminating in massively bloated game development cycles and shi**y decisions from the top. When the game flops, they wonder why/how the game failed afterwards... SURPRISE, it's solely their own fault, as they're the ones calling the shots. Execs need to stop thinking about budgets, and start thinking of how to create GREAT games. This was also proven by Expedition 33's abysmally small budget in comparison, so don't even start parroting this bull**it. Such decisions MUST come exclusively from the creative/dev team, as THEY alone have the feeling for what they want to create, and most of the time the execs curb their ideas to "rush" things, forcing crunch time, cutting corners for game content, stupidly small deadlines, and bloated budgets to "justify being an AAA game", charging outrageous prices for the consumers. Don't use that crappy "tight budget/timeline" excuse — just don't.

We are really tired of all AAA companies with ludicrous development costs to inflate stakeholders' and senior management's pockets, delivering half-assed games 95% of the time.

I mean, among MANY OTHER OUTSTANDING things they achieved with real love for games, one guy composed 154 songs alone for this game while casually hanging out on Reddit, Discord, publishing his work on SoundCloud and Bandcamp, while other companies hire operas and specialized studios with over 100 people to compose songs. C'mon, that's not even fair, hahahaha.
