Frozen hearts you just learn the very first dancer mobs you come up to and spam them for XP.
I went there at 42, in NG+ where its harder. You can absolutely do that. Forget parries and just dodge, because they have a gradient counter you can do with Maelle to speed their deaths up.
If she's kept in Virtuous stance itll be about 320k xp every few minutes lol. (Throw a few counter attack % + in your lumina points)
After you're 60-65 from doing that just hit up Char arcs to 7 then flying manor (or more pictos farming, I'd pictos farm, get cheater & glass cannon asap then the rest)

One very important thing IMO is the mentioning of not overleveling before taking on the main story final encounter..
I ended put game on easy after beating it all on normal and went to the Dark Shores.
Can grind levels really fast and enemies always drop Grandiose Chroma Catalyst. So can upgrade all weapons to lvl 32. Then after building self up for a while can pretty much do anything.

personally, i recommend going straight to NG+ and here's why:
-weapons become uncapped (theyre not technically capped, but you really wont be getting much in terms of upgrade mats for the higher levels in your first play through)
-full team and builds available from the start (other than the prologue)
-more challenging, if you go straight to it, instead of grinding, since you retain your levels. if you grind first before NG+, you will steam roll thru the entire thing. some people like this, i dont, i preferred the increased difficulty for this playthrough.
-picking up duplicate weapons/pictos upgrades them to the NG+ levels, saving you tons of upgrade mats/grinding.
-killing the final boss gives you the picto that allows your damage to exceed 9999.
what you do is all just personal preference. you can finish the game, but still roam around the continent grinding and collecting stuff. or you can do that b4 finishing the game. or you can go to NG+. its really up to what you personally want out of the game.
