Even those that love it have gotten lost at times, so there's something else holding you back.

I have a rough time with no mini-map in dungeons as well...

But doesn't make it boring to me, just means I need to get a better directional sense

How do you all get lost in this game?
Nearly all the dungeons are linear paths forward with some side paths that lead to some loot and then back to the main path.

Some people get confused by what is in their own trousers.

You literally have lights showing you the way
It's basically a souls like in a lot of ways so it fits

i mean, for a 2025 game. it sucks not having a map and quest log. It is an expedition, you should be able to build a map and pin the areas of interest. Plus there were other expeditioners before, they left journals but no maps lol. I guess i will have to just rush to the end of the game

I get lost super easily, so I kind of agree and disagree. I agree it can be easy to get lost, at least for me, but at the same time, if I can find my way around with enough patience and time, I feel like anyone could do it. Also, it's pretty straightforward if you ignore treasure, though... Who really wants to do that, right?

I was never lost, but I played a lot of text adventures since 40+ years (books) where you had to draw little maps (on quad-ruled paper) didn't use this trick in this game

But the treasure routes either circle back or are a deadend.... I can not fathom the issue its not like its open world

Eh, tbf I am an outlier in my sense of direction. Like if you knew me irl, you'd understand.

But also, you guys didn't have trouble finding your way around Ancient Sanctuary, or whatever it's called? Just me? :/

Not there but the layout is designed that lights/lamps = the correct way and branching paths = treasure / optional boss / quest
