Geez did it need to go so hard? Take a chill pill game. The majority of a bosses attacks don't need to remind me of Sephiroth's Nova attack in terms of length. It is starting to have the contemporary Dodge/Parry problem, overly long sequences with overly long wind-ups because people were getting good at reacting to "natural speed" animations.

I see why people are gravitating to the most damage possible in the shortest time possible. Multiple turns of multiple actions of long winded moves.

Really cool stuff you can do with shields. Can try out the Egide ability with Maelle going first and a bunch of shell/dmg reduction stuff with a vit/def weapon.

I dropped Maelle before fighting Renoir 1 from the main party because she was too good for too little set-up.

Shields are a nice QoL so I don't have to be fully focused for a lengthy 6 hit attack sequence. I'll probably start dipping into the Color of Luminae I have stockpiled now.
