As in every other Steam discussion, trying to have a meaningful discussion with anyone feels like an exercise in futility, due to the fact that most of the people don't even actually care about the points they're debating, and are really just looking to get a rise out of as many people as possible.

Steam really needs to change its point system. Also would help if they made it so people who don't own the game on Steam couldn't join the Steam discussion. I don't care if you play it on GamePass, or PS5, or whatever... it wouldn't be to punish you guys, but it would be necessary. To prevent the farmers and trolls that come out of the woodwork with every major release from polluting the discussions with bait threads.

I just have fatigue from trying to find meaningful and/or useful information on literally any Steam discussion in existence. It's all just ragebait and trolling.

The option to block discussion for non-purchasers of the game is there. It can be switched on or off by the game developers.

The Steam discussion boards is literal just an infestation of people who hate other people having fun or to call everything they don't like "woke." It's very rare you actually find an actual discussion. I agree 100% that someone who does NOT own the game should not be able to POST on the game thread they are viewing but are able to read it. Also, jester awards should not be giving the person points. I'm assuming Steam thought it would be like saying something funny, but years later still nothing has been done.

I doubt they'll ever do anything about it tbh. And yeah, it's always the same tired tropes when it comes to these low-effort troll attempts. You can find woke/anti-woke bait topics in probably every single game Steam sells.
