I just don't see a p[lace for that here and utterly wasted effort. And I do hope, ressources and efforts are not wasted on a feature with barely any potential benefit.
and I was divinely happy, however, there is that void, and seeing games with so much potential, I ask myself, why not have multiplayer? It's something very good, playing with those who are important to us, especially those we love, I don't see much point in single games being better than co-op. because that's not what defines how good the game is...
That said, asking for the feature hurts noone, and people acting like the mere request for co-op is an affront to God are being silly.
Agreed, people seem to have such a hate boner for multiplayer games recently and they can't explain why other than they dislike it. Multiplayer release games make up less than 20% monthly and games with co-op style multi is less than 10% of games released monthly. Sure, not everything needa multi but nothing is harmed by having it. Their anger is fueled by their hate for competitive arenas, moba styles and other manner of online only games, but those are very rare. They can't even name 10 that came out in the last 5 years.
Just because you can't come up with the arguments doesn't mean they are non-existent.
If the game gets given the feature of "online only" then people without stable internet connections cannot play. I see this game being released in plenty of locations.
This would be because of some terrible DRM which more times than not affects single player game(s) quality and performance in a negative way. The other would be because if "online only" servers shut down and some games officially die (it has happened to other online only games with single player being eradicated along with the servers).
The other reason for arguments against it would be it takes development time. This would cut into things like optimization & performance which you can already see discussions about on this forum as well.
The only arguments I could see for these turn based games is something like the "Tales" series where it is couch co-op which doesn't require servers. Or, something like the "Persona/Atlus" games that show other people's choices on the slice of life parts.
It's not about should it have or shouldn't. It's about the creators vision. If they envisioned some kind of multiplayer interactions then I am sure they will make it work appropriately.
Personally, with mechanics and what I have seen. I don't see why this game would have multiplayer.
