"As a spiritual successor to the acclaimed Life is Strange series, expectations were high for Lost Records: Bloom and Rage, but recent data shows that the game is struggling to find its audience, even among players who got it for free with their PS Plus subscription."

So far, we've covered how the game's PS Plus launch was overshadowed by Star Wars Jedi Survivor hitting PS Plus Extra in the same update — Lost Records saw 43.2% fewer players than the Fallen Order sequel. However, I think it's also important to look at the game's overall performance compared to all the day-one PS Plus Extra games released so far, as it helps explain why this launch feels underwhelming.

Top PS Plus Extra day-one launch games (so far)
#1 — Stray (July 2022) [-%]
#2 — Dave the Diver (April 2024) [-68.2%]
#3 — The Plucky Squire (September 2024) [-69.5%]
#4 — Sea of Stars (August 2023) [-70.9%]
#5 — Teardown (November 2023) [-79.5%]
#6 — Tchia (March 2023) [-79.9%]
#7 — Animal Well (May 2024) [-86.8%]
#8 — Lost Records Bloom and Rage (February 2025) [-88.7%]
#9 — Tales of Kenzera Zau (April 2024) [-88.7%]
#10 — Rogue Legacy 2 (June 2023) [-89.1%]
#11 — Moving Out 2 (August 2023) [-90.9%]
#12 — Humanity (May 2023) [-93.3%]
#13 — Mystic Pillars Remastered (March 2024) [-96.2%]

Context matters. If anyone is actually questioning whether STAR WARS is more popular than Don't Nod then every single one of us here could have told you that..

As always though I'm more interested to see if things pick up once part 2 drops. Don't Nod's episodic release strategy was already controversial with LiS and It certainly isn't doing themselves any favours these days either.

Yet even Tchia did better than it.
I've played it there, the game is amazing. I will buy it here soon too.

Lots of people play more then 1 game at a time, it was on PS+ and jedi survivor is 2 years old now, so your excuse is a new game lost because a 2 year old game went up? I guess that's just another older game it lost too. Its very telling when a new game lost to an older game. its steam numbers are pretty sad and even for free it lost to a 2 year old game...

By this logic Doom the Dark Ages is already shovelware because it's going to be free to play on Gamepass :steamfacepalm:

Atleast get a clue to what you're talking about.
Then what's your excuse for Dragon Age FAILguard being dumped onto ps+ to be given away & the fact that even when they're giving that piece of ♥♥♥♥ "game" away for free ps players don't want anything to do with it?
