It also only has 370 reviews, which isn't exactly a lot.

I don't particularly care one way or the other, I came across this game by chance and thought the premise looked interesting. It's probably best to evaluate success a week or two after launch, and success ultimately equals sales numbers vs budget.

You mean Tencent? Who owns nearly half the company? Cause they went down 1.66%. but 1's 7's, who cares? Numbers are hard. They also own a huge stake in Epic games which is why the stock actually dipped.

See this is the problem, creatives, as a collective will always lean progressive. So what are they to do? They make their own games and they suck (see FNAF series). So they try to bully the companies that make the products into making products that lean toward fascist ideologies. I mean it worked against Budweiser so why not right? Problem is, they were never going to buy a product like this anyway, so all the 10 view channels on youtube calling this gay propaganda or whatever (which it proudly is) don't have a substantive impact on sales. Hence the "old man yelling at cloud" results you see here on the Steam forums.

You’d have to be extremely sensitive to be offended by this game. There are episodes of Degrassi that are more ‘woke’ than this. It’s just 90s nostalgia with a somewhat diverse cast and romance options. There’s no big message scene about racism or white privilege.

I'm pretty early in but one of the core things seems to be 'bullying'. Which I guess you could spin to a based/woke argument? I mean, that's ostensibly what the ♥♥♥♥ posters are doing, so I have to assume being a bully is based?

Sums up 99% of the weird trolling posts I've been seeing on Steam over the last ~6 years who are crying over *checks notes* inclusivity and representation.

I dunno what it is or what happened, but Steam never used to be this garbage in the early years. Feels like it sort of came out of nowhere lately how all of a sudden a whole lot of bigoted people started getting a lot more vocal and emotional to the point where they felt the need to scream about how they don't like people that are different to them on game forums for some reason.

One of these days decades from now a neurological study is going to be done to open some of these people up and really see what's going on in there. I bet it's really fascinating stuff that causes this inexplicable seething hatred. I just wish I could understand what they are so mad at here and now

Agree if you enjoy it, just enjoy it, but... There is one thing the human brain is good at... seeing patterns, and they trained people so much lately that as soon as you see it it's over for the product. I will just not play it... I would have waited for a remember me type sequel of game but don't nod will never go this route again (why I do not know)
