I don't like to prejudge. This game only came out a day ago, but I've already seen dozens of woke-themed posts, while none of us had much, if any, actual playtime.
As for the woke-shouters, they knew what to expect from the trailers, they could just find something else to do besides writing unnecessary and toxic posts. These topics only hurt the playerbase...
If you’re so convinced “woke” content ruins games, let’s talk facts: Life is Strange (2015) had LGBTQ+ themes and sold millions. The Last of Us did the same and won Game of the Year. Baldur’s Gate 3 lets you romance a literal bear and still dominated sales. “Woke” doesn’t tank games—bad games do.
And if Asmongold is your gaming moral compass, I’d love to see what in-depth narrative experiences he’s out here championing. But let’s be real: games live or die based on quality, not internet outrage. If Lost Records flops, it won’t be because it’s “woke”—it’ll be because it wasn’t good enough. Let’s see how it actually plays before writing its obituary, yeah?
