People here
Lots of people coming to the discussion threads about a game they are not interested in, just to complain about it and to tell others how "uninterested" they are.

If that is true, then the only solution I see is that people who don't own a game shouldn't be allowed to post here, how the hell was that not implemented yet. They literally have no business here.
It would solve the problem of people coming to troll, but it would also would remove any chance for people who are interested in the game to ask questions or to engage with the community, for example, if they played the game on a different platform. Most Steam forums are very inactive as it is, and that would pretty much kill any activity for most smaller games.

Also, Don't Nod are one of the most innovative and unique developers in the industry, and I really hope this game will be a success for them. Remember Me, the original Life is Strange, Vampyr, Jusant, Banishers, now this, and hopefully many more games to come from the developers.

Not every one game of their games always works out, and some are better than others, but they always try to come up with new ideas, and every game they make shows passion, love and care they put into their games. We need more developers, like Don't Nod, willing to try new things.
Hopefully it's their last game. Especially since they are deeply involved with sweet baby inc.

45% of threads are people trolling the players and bashing the game. 45% of the threads are people bashing the haters and the trolls in the very same manner they claim to be against. 10% of threads are... people actually talking about the game.

By creating threads like this, you're giving them exactly what they want - a good hearty laugh and satisfaction that they know they've got to you, how can no one ever see this? Yes, they should move on with their lives I agree, but you defenders should also do the exact same thing. Them hating a game you like should have zero affect on your life. The best way to counter haters, wherever you stand, is by saying NOTHING. You drain all power from them by doing that one very simple, easy thing that, quite literally, requires nothing at all. I don't get why people find this so difficult. You're not helping the situation with posts like this, only throwing more gasoline onto a house fire.

"Don't feed the trolls" is a quote we've all read that has been circling the internet for basically 2 decades, yet no one ever seems to heed the words. No hate, but my advice to you would be to take your own advice, and move along. If you enjoy the game, that's great, enjoy it and then get on with your day. If they hate it, then let them hate it and eventually they'll do the same thing. ez pz.

Because by ignoring mental illness. It will never go away.

They simply want every game made exclusively for them. They're miserable and want others to be as well. That's their outlook on life. While people they consider woke want to lift others up, they just want to tread them down.

But any normal person would then just move along, and go play or interact with something that interests them.

They're just children with nothing better to do mate. Best bet is to ignore them.

Steam awards grant the recipient points even if the award is negative (like Jester), which creates a semi-financial incentive to troll and make bad posts. It turns out, this was a really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bad idea!

Doesn't help when culture war grifters like Asmongold, Grummz, Vera Dark, SmashJT, Pirat Nation, The Quartering, MangaLawyer, and so much more, continually stoke the flames of hatred with their large followings.

Never heard of most of those, and it probably is not helpful giving them more attention then.

It is unfortunate that negativity often sells better than positivity, and so such things happen. But what I find especially strange in this case is that Lost Records is a new IP, a new franchise, from a developer who has always made these type of games. There shouldn't reasonably be anyone upset at this, unless they are going out of their way to find something that they know they will hate.

It is like if someone went to a pizzeria, to complain that they hate pizza. But even that would be more reasonable, because instead of a pizzeria there could be a different restaurant. But Don't Nod have always made games like this, so there isn't even anything else "lost" by this game existing.

They just don't like women and minorities existing in video games in general.
There isn't enough straight representation in this game and I find it offensive.

Why do people come here to hate on this?

The game tags triggered them.

They find the tags such as "LGBTQ+" and "Female Protagonist" offensive to their sociopolitical beliefs. It's up to them the SJWs to defend their space.

As far as I know Bloom and Rage doesn't become a bland openworld Ubisoft style game with lackluster quest rewards and collectable that wore out it's welcome ~25 hours in though... which is what I criticized about that game and my only real complaint sadly.

I'm confused and curious at what this could mean now :lunar2020thinkingtiger:

You should be able to buy the emotes for 100 points still!

But yeah, while I don't have nice things to say about the Harry Potter Author, I was able to recognize that the devs of that game had nothing to do with her or her views, so it was pretty simple to separate the two.

I had no idea there was a such a huge hate campaign around that to the point where people harassed streamers. Seems like ire was directed at the wrong people there :/

Do they have nothing better to do with their lives? Or are they just trying to farm clown awards?
short answer : coz its steam
People see a black person in a game and they get upset and say ‘DEI’ basically.

The mistake was not blocking posts from non-purchasers, or quarantining them to a 'poors' subforum that no one looks at, which is something you can actually do on Steam as the dev. AA and AAA never use this option, I think they like the "on the fence, should I buy?" type posts.
