Why is Autumn so hard to get a good relationship with for the "best" ending?
It feels like you are basically never doing anything right by her, even when you "succeed" the scenes with her, agree with her, support her and take her side etc.

I am very disappointed that the relationship system in this game. It all feels so random and illogical at times to the point that it never feels like you ever do something right to achieve the relationship status with the characters that you are going for

It's even more messed up now that I just finished the game and apparantly "RECONNECTED" with both Nora AND Autumn, as well as helped Autumn get over her panic attack, yet only one of them were part of my ending. Bruh.

Some people are just hard to please.... nah, TBH, I liked this relationship system since IMO it felt quite natural in a way that it wasn't too obvious or easy. Just like in real life, it takes time and effort to get to know people how they think and even then despite one's best intentions we may easily say things that makes other people feel bad or at least, not feeling like being on the same page.

you are so right but it still makes me mad :steamsad:
I was so shocked to discover at the end of tape 2 that our relationship had went down to "We're cool". I still have no idea what I did wrong.
I feel like Autumn is the easiest one. She's a character that acts logical, much like how a normal adult would act in most instances, so you can just apply common sense and get points with her.

I had the reverse problem. Nora showed up in the future, said two words, then ran off. And I thought we had a decent relationship in the past, though the game ended up saying we were distant.
I just completed the end, Nora stayed with me and Autumn walked off right before opening the box. the thing that makes me mad is that since the very beginning Autumn was so thankful about meeting in the adult life and getting ready to open the box, we finally have it unlocked and she storms away from Swann and Nora and it was such a harmless box full of memories.

Had the exact same situation. Apparently if Autumn is the one who pushes [THE PERSON] into the hole in the end, no matter what decisions you took beforehand and how good your relationship is, you are instantly locked into the ending of her leaving, which IMO is kinda BS.

It seems like the game just doesn't want you to be very close with her. I intentionally tried to pick the "best" option for connecting with her and it still didn't amount to much. She stayed til the end, but even then, the relationship at the end wasn't great.

I ended up getting top romance with her. Maybe because personality types were similar so I related to her perspective.
