Memoirs not counting in collectible mode?

I’m apparently missing a bunch of memoir recordings throughout the game, and have tried to go back and get them through collectible mode. I found a guide and started with Swann’s room when you first start the game. I had 6/9 recordings. I looked at the guide, recorded the ones I was missing, but it still says 6/9 in the scene selection menu… Anyone else having trouble with this?

You need to fully complete the chapter for the memoir collectible to count. I'm still testing this out myself.

so you’re playing the scenes in “story mode” or just replaying the whole game?

You have to finish the whole chapter in collectible mode (it'll go back to the menu when the chapter has been finished). You can skip some chunks of cinematics from the pause menu to speed things along.

the whole scene right? not chapter. I did play the whole bedroom scene with swann but it didn't register the recordings in collectible mode. I replayed the scene in story mode (and thereby restarted the whole game), and it worked.

It;s funny, for my "Strangers" memoir, I got the ||strangers from the front of the bar in 'Riot Girls'|| then I went back and played ||'The Day We Met'|| and got those clips. So my Memoir plays in reverse order.

Play the game for the story and forget about the completion. At this point, it is just a bloody mess, just like their patches and recommendations. Replay from scratch! (!)

I'm still at 26/27 in scene 10. Hunting Memoire should have 8 shots, but I'm missing 2. The game shows that I'm done and plays it. Scene 19 has 42 or 43 collectibles? It had 42 before, now it says 43. Whatever the missing one is, I can't get it. Before the patch I couldn't record the bonfire at sunset, now I can't record the graffiti on the tree.

The game could have been nice, but they screwed it up technically. This constant filming, the way it is done, is just an annoyance that distracts from the story.

I still think that currently the only way to enjoy this game is to record only what can't be skipped and forget about recording optional footage and completion. At least in my case, the latest patch didn't fix the counter; some objects are still impossible to record, and I think that I found one more bug… The thing is that I have the exact same problem in collectible mode and in the "real" mode.

After the latest fix, it is possible to repair the game save file. I just did it yesterday. Now memoirs show all previously missing images and video clips. Only Scene 19 is stuck at 42/43.

yeah I just saw, I’ll have to replay the whole game anyways since I played the swann bedroom scene in story mode to actually get all the recordings because it didn’t work in collectible mode

It didn't work for me regardless of mode.
