Is Corey that bad of a guy? [spoiler]

I don't really understand why Corey acts the way he does in the first interaction with him. I mean, I understand that he needs to be a certain way for the story, but he's actually a nice guy. He keeps Kat's leukemia a secret the whole time, to allow her to make friends. He never actually forces her into something, even though her dad wants him to do that. At the end, he even acknowledges the performance and especially what Kat did. And you can see that Kat actually trusts him a lot by the end.

All this while Kat's family (except Dylan) doesn't treat him well, his mother passed away recently, and he has debts because of the old house of his mother and so on. :/

Yeah i feel like he is the Nathan Prescott of this game except for the rich status, perhaps he will do something in Tape 2 to show this more .. i just hope the whole secret will be not the girls killing him as promise that they won´t broke

I think its the inconsistency of the story building in the first meeting, he acts like Henry Bowers from IT bcs. at this time everything points in that direction. And in the later part, DT seems to overthink it´s idea and skip the IT part, and so even Corey's writing points in a different direction. So it looks like he only want to help Dylan and her sister.

Right before the end of part one, they say he gets blamed for what happened at the house. Not sure exactly what this means, but I suspect it's not good, and he gets sent to prison.

At the beginning i thought he was a huge ♥♥♥♥ but by the end i felt like he was a ♥♥♥♥ with a good heart who was trying to lookout for Kat but was doing it in a bad way.
