interesting, can you give me some examples of what you mean? i'm still early on in the game but i thought her bedroom was an explosion of 90's paraphernalia. i'd say 3/4 of the stuff in there I had at one point
Other than that the clothes are pretty spot-on.
Kat and Corey even more so than Swann.
Most kids had a fanny pack but I personally barely wore the thing but always had random stuff in them.
Maybe there is something to be said about environments but I feel small town 90's is perceived differently than big city 90's. You just see more in the city's.
That park was spot on though. We use to spend hours there just hanging out.
Hopefully Tape 2 opens up the scope more and we get to see more familiar things.
People in the 90s dyed their hair to enhance highlights, unlike the 4 ♥♥♥♥♥♥ gen-z lesbo kids in the game who dyed their hair with stupid colors in weird proportions for statement purposes.
People also didn't wear that many accessories be it dorky or edgy like this horrible game presents.
And most important of all, people were decent enough to have actual conversations that require multiple sentences that convey purposes, instead of filling it up with one liners.
You clearly did not play the game dude...lol
But go off..
No I didn't, but then I was talking about the design style which there are tons of gameplay footage out there if you know how to look for them.
And you clearly took all criticism of the game personally... lol
Go off from this topic if you cannot stand it..
I also grew up with access to a camcorder (still have it, still works, ♥♥♥♥ was built to last back then), and filmed a bunch of random stuff, never did in camera editing though, always used the VCR.
I also felt nostalgia for going off with my friends in the woods to do drugs and Truth or Dare (probably the first time I saw real tits) and such, but that was a little later in the early '00s when I was the character's age. If they were boys they would have found a porn mag or VHS in the woods, I think every one of my friends found one at some point.
I was also into weird horror films, but they don't really focus on that enough to give it much heft, it's just kind of an aside to the character. Oddly reminiscent of Max from LiS, but it was way more in focus in that game.
This game feels like Portlandia's side story.

You know you're types love to harp on "facts" and demand to site proof when ever debating a point with opposing opinions.
Conjecture is not facts. Looking at a few pictures and then running off to a conclusion is pure emotional judgement.
There are soo many of you who base personal experience as fact for everyone else.
Different regions of the US had many varying fashion trends. The fact this game takes place in the 90's does not change that fact. I can tell you for a fact back in 95 on the East Coast US, colors popped a lot.
If you played the game, you would know, every question, response or exchange of conversation was not One liners.
You can actually wait for characters to fully stop talking, interrupt or not respond at all.
This context is not given only from a picture.
Your statements are biased and politically charged and clearly clouding your objective judgment of a game you never played.
Nobody takes your narrow minded opinions serious at this point.
