Being analytic, in rich story based game targeting both male and female players, a player has to relate somehow. If characters and problems are from "female world", woman players can nicely relate, but to lure guys, player need at least small crush + enough related stuff from "male world", for example LIS1 had perfect mix of it (school setting, dorms, authorities etc school problems for direct relation, and different types of girls to have lil crush on, or to be friends with being straight girl). Unfortunately same thing does not work for women, that's why similar game with group of guys would never attract woman players, no matter how pretty characters would be. LIS1 with male characters would not work that much, would be too gay for guys and too guy-ish for girls to relate. Dev has a power to adjust the setting and characters to make an unisex game. Here would help if the group has crushable characters or was mixed like in movie IT. Teens make mixed classmates groups naturally in this age yet.
Is this game targeting to women only? If yes, who cares then, I would not play Little mermaid game as well, then dev should announce it, but might lead to loss because there's not enough gamer girls in general. My GF does not even care about LIS1, it bores her, she likes only Sims and plays once a year if ever. The game is made by big studio, therefore the price tag will be around $40+ to pay all the expenses + profit. It's not an indie, it needs huge sales to pay off. We can see Dontnod aren't able to be much analytic to learn from success of LIS1. LIS2 sales failed also because it was not relatable to broad audience, you could see on FB and discussions, many latino players loving it more than LIS1, just because it was relatable to them way more. For me european was not much relatable and also hard to relate to american political problems.
Same the game Tell me why, it was looking nice, but I could not relate, target audience was too narrow.
No, you are pretending to call out imaginary "misogyny, fetishization of women, queerphobia and racism". None of those things really happened, it's just something you made up, so you can "call it out". All because you get triggered by other peoples opinions. You are a narcissistic fascist, calling everyone else what you are yourself.
You have a very forgiving interpretation of "petite", I happened to 3d print these characters a while back so I know their mass, Alex with her 162cm / 5'4" would weigh 75kg / 165lbs which is a BMI of almost 29, roughly 10kg overweight for an average range.
Now Max is actually petite with roughly 40kg / 88lbs on her 165cm / 5'5" frame
If the story is as good and tasteful like Banishers I can see past all that though.
Yup we can add a tag just we all need to do it
No, she doesn't. She has a pretty normative body. Her face is thin and pretty, and her body is slender.
